chana barca snake head 3 hours min. out of water. when found was dried up, covered in dust/hair, motionless. when picked up, movement was detected. in these cases, its important not to put the snakehead back in water too deep in advent gills are clogged or fish too weak to come to surface. helps if the (shallow) water during recoup has current flow to help carry water into, loosen and wash gills. Once breathing is normal, can reintro to tank.
