MOST MISLABELED FISHES IN YOUR LFS

Oh boy where do I start :eek: Where I'm at most spicies are not just mislabelled but they muke up names for them too. Off the top of my head
- Convicts / Zebra
- Senegal Bishir / Dragon
- Asian up side down catfish/ Africano
- RB Pacu / Piranha
and many many others.... But in all fairness they do get some of them right also :D
 
lol couple weeks ago i went to the lfs hoping to see if they could get in any true gar species. He should me the "Needle Nose Gar" and then called his supplier to see if they could get anything.

Long story short the supplier said a NNG is accutally called an Asian Needle GAR

SOOOO close lol

I bought a RTC x TSN hybrid a few weeks ago that was labelled as a TSN. Luckily, the store owner is quick to change their labeling after I give them the correct ID of the fish(es), and I still get the same price if it's lower.
 
Been seeing Pollis being labeled as Retros lately and baby Clown Knives being sold as Royal Clown Knives.
 
My girl friend got me a Green Terror, the people at the store told her it was a Turquoise Severum.
I also got what I thought was an Electric Yellow, when really it was a Kenyi Cichlid
 
From what I gather there is a "true" green terror and the Gold (and silver) saums have been mislabeled since the 70's. actually I think there are true terrors on this site, I'll see if I can find the old posts but poeple that own them are pretty adament that they're the real deal.
