Most Nervous, Spastic, Glass Shattering Fish youve Kept??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most of the natives I catch don't know what to do in the tanks so they can be spastic and run into the glass, they figure it out though.

Red bellied piranhas are the worst. Probably all P's are bad but I owned 5 reds and they were awful. You couldn't go near the tank at all. No personality and skittish as hell. Too bad because they are a nice looking fish.

OK i would definately say that pictus catfish are the most SPAZ!
they dont necessarily freak out when someone does something that upsets him, he just swims, and swims, and swims in the tank. But no, not around the whole tank, he does it in one corner, around the filter cords so that he has to squeeze through the cords trying not to get stuck while doing it. This was the "normal" behavoiur fr my pictus, then when the lights go out, he swaps sides and goes to the front right corner to do the same thing, no doubt freaking out all of the other fish in the process!

My 12" Bala shark! Has jumped out of the tank that many times I've lost count, the last time being 2 days ago when I was doing a water change, nearly hit the roof and landed about 5 feet from the tank.

He is always suddenly freaking out, taking off at 100 mile an hour smashing into the end of the tank. Sometimes he'll be fine but make a wrong move around the tank and suddenly "BANG SPLASH"!

But he's also the hardiest fish I have ever known, he is currently about 12+ years old and has lost that many scales, gouged flesh, smashed his nose up, broken dorsal fin and survived terrible water conditions. He's indestructable! ;)
