Most Overated Movie

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Agreed. The first one was obviously aimed toward the younger crowd. Once they realized older people we're into it and that the cast was maturing as well the movies got better imo.

Harry Potter is actually written for the same group of people throughout the entire series and ages as they age, so it doesn't get darker to be re-aimed at an older demographic but rather its audience who were 10 when the first book was released grew older and the book grew with them.

So when "The Philosophers Stone" was released in '97 its readers were aged 10 and as they get older it gets darker until they are aged 20 which is 10 years down the track in '07 when "The Deathly Hallows" is released. Instead of remaining childish the entire time and having to get picked up by new people every 2-3 years it follows that one group as they age. Its a brilliant way to write a series and allows its readers to continue to enjoy the series even as they age.

I really like Harry Potter and one of the best things about it is the English cast, I find the USA accent harder to understand than English.

Avatar in 3D is the most overrated movie ever imo. I hate 3D movies and they are all overrated imo cause who wants to relax at home or in the cinemas with a dicky pair of uncomfortable glasses on which are unclear and annoying to look through.

You dont have to like it but it doesnt mean you didnt miss an amazing cinematic experience that was advanced beyond its years.

Oh. 3d movies have been outperforming reg movies for years now. Guess lots of people want to rock the cool 3D glasses

The response of "heaps of people like it so it must be good" only furthers my opinion of it being overrated cause that's exactly what overrated means. This is only my opinion and I do not like 3D movies. Also I watched Avatar in both 2D and 3D and like neither, if I want a lush 3D environment I'll simply head outside.

Scarface and GF 1 are 2 of my favorites. Full metal jacket is top dog, however Clockwork Orange is dramatically, super overrated. It is number 1 on many movie list and was hard for me to make it through in multiple attempts.

Yep,same here on A Clockwork Orange. It must be one of those movies that you have to be high to enjoy.

It was Kubrick at his finest. Read the book, make sure it has the last chapter, then watch it again. Such an amazing movie, and drugs are not needed.

If you have to read a book to watch a movie then the movie is an absolute failure, no ifs ands or buts abut it.

Good because I don't do them anyhow..I've never seen the book but I'll get around to looking for it to read one day.
