I'd have to say Right now in the Hobby the top three Would be Intermedia-kelberi and Xingu At least it seems to me by popular demand...But i have to say the only one i would fall all over myself for would be some Intermedia...an they sure have alot of simular features to an Orino in my book..

Except that those have all been in the hobby before. My dream cichla would be something that few people have had like vazzoleri/thyrorus/fogo/ect.

Seriously I think all cichla keepers have their own dream cichla. Many people love kelberi right now. My dream species is the vazzoleri from rio trevaseo.

I agree all keepers have their own dream species. For me it is Cichla sp. 'Rio Travessao' which is not C. vazzoleri. It is going through study right now and will be described as Cichla jennyi after Paul Riess' daughter Jenny. Here is a picture of the infamous fish. These guys will never be commercially collected and no body in the world has these in captivity.... yet.

I'd say Fogo and Intermedia for most people, but I'd like to see some Jariina sometime.

Why do you say they will never be commercially collected?
