Most Tranquil fish to own

I would say my rays. I've owned many fish but the joy to see a ray in your tank swimming freely and seeing their smile on their belly( their mouth lol) is so relaxing.

My biggest headache fish are arowana constantly worrying about it jumping and etc

I was expecting a lot of people to say arowana they are pretty relaxing the way they just cruise the top wasn't aware of how problematic they are? Maybe I should turn this thread into Most Tranquil and MOst Annoying.

For me out of all I've kept it's Angels and Discus haven't kept fancy Goldfish or Rays though, I realized after looking at my tanks all the fish I have are pretty crazy currently have guppies, tiger barbs, and flowerhorns none really relaxing.

Most Annoying I've kept have to be Bala Sharks Infamous for be skittish and jumping, horrible fish IMO

My planted gar tank is the tank I usually relax in front of. It's usually very calm unless it's feeding time.

To me my aro is the most tranquil fish, just cruising up and down the tank, when it spots me it's starts swimming against the glass with snakelike movements begging for good

My RTGG is as laid back as you like, it's relaxing just watch her effortlessly glide around. At the other end of the scale my mad tinfoils leave me sweating just watching them, they're never still.

My 17 goldfish are relaxed and simply glide around the tank. its a shame they are going outside soon ;(
but when i get closer than a metre to the tank...
they are begging for food. they follow me around the tank.
my betta is slower, he only realises when the lid is open

I would say a nice planted community tank with a couple of different schooling fish.

I'd say my planted 135 gallon community is my most relaxing tank. Angels, rummies, cardinals, a couple sevs, rams, Dennison barbs and catfish (who hide all the time). There is always movement but It's very tranquil.

Whenever I go to a public aquarium I am always mesmerized by the shark tank.

I'd love to have a tank in my bedroom my wife won't let me even have a damn betta in there haha
