most you have spent on a fish

Lol, I worked for a fish store thank god. Retail value of my fish would make me homeless. My Roseline Sharks retail at almost $50-$60 at 1 inch. Ive never seen my Rusty blue eye pleco L-137 anywhere else it was selling at about $99.99 i didnt pay that but still. My clients have paid upwards of $200 for a single discus. Fish are addicting and expensive but worth every penny.

$200 Black arowana.

I spent 249 for a giga from live aquari, didn't last a day, 2 thier credit they sent me a second one no charge, lasted about 2months, just never seemed to get acclimated

$45 for a 4" Jardini and that was almost 20yrs ago.

Funny, these days, you spend more for shipping than the actual fish. I would pay top dollar for rare, exotic Africans from Lake Victoria.

15,000$ for 20" long 7" radius waterdragon platinum with a red fiery mouth whose teeth are all sharp and which have broken my 1 inch thick 150 gallon tank... geeezzzz. costs a lot...

$75 for a 5" Jardini.

I've spent about $30-40 here and there when I use to have a saltwater tank for soft corals, fish, and other inverts. Now for freshwater I usually spend less than $20 per unless it's something I don't see often. Most of the time I buy a group of small juveniles.
