I have 4x Motoro in a 200Gallon tank, it is a litlebit small, but they are only 9 inch +- 1. It is planed to be a growout since i am planing a 1000Gall in the future. But some days ago i saw some very small wounds on 2-3 of the motoros, and i took a very good look, and i saw that one of the Males had really big claspers(or what its called?). Ive had these since November last year, and they were WC. Could this male be mature?

They go with 6x Fully Grown Geophagus Altifrons. I change 40-50% water each week. 1 Eheim 2080 and 60L Background Filter.

Isnt he very Small for being mature? Altho they are WC, so i gues theres no way of finding out how old he is more then captive time? They have grown very well. The biggest Male is a litlebit bigger then him, i have 2 males and 2 females total, but the second female is smaller then the otters, didnt have very good owners to start with, so i took over. They came with the same transport and there is significant difference in size compared to the once i had from starters..

If this male is Mature im lucky with him, he likes to chill behind a big wood, and comes out once in a while to check the aqua for some food ;)

Do my motoros have more spots then normal? Atleast 1-2 of them im thinking of.

hehe, thats what i thought, i was like "wow" here..hehe, have bin googling a lil bit the last minutes, but it is some nice motoros ;) 9,5 and 10 is pretty small for being breedable when you have the maximum size in the back of your head.

most of the time males stay a lot smaller than our stickies say they get.. but occasionally a male will get 20"+.

my male is almost 4 years old and STILL only 11", i don't see him getting much bigger.

FEMALES on the other hand almost always get HUGE

So a female the same size +1 inch is probably not mature? Im affraid the male will be nasty to the others, he hasnt yet, so i just need to keep an good eye on the situation i gues. But he is very calm.
