  1. Can I have a male motoro in a 110 gallon 4' x 4' tank for life? Heard males only grow 14-15" max.
  2. How much money does it cost to feed a motoro a month?
  3. How many wc would I have to do if the 110 is big enough? Would 25% wc a week be fine, if there are no tankmates?

Tank size will be fine. Depends on what you feed. Frozen shrimp and scallops will run about $10 a month when he is bigger. If you get a pup then $5. Water change schedule will depend on filtration. With HOB's or canisters you might have to do more changes. With a large enough sump you could make 25% a week work.

yah that max size is probably a bit low. The avereage seems to be closer to 20" but either way your fine with tank size. I would do biweekly water changes but thats just me :)

Mine will easily get through £10 of carnivore and massivore per month plus about the same in frozen.

A 4X4 would look really good imo and if you have not bought it yet then maybe add height for volume more than swim space, a sump would be good to add volume too so w/c would be ok at 25%.

A nitrate remover / ion exchange resin helps reduce the need for w/c so this would help.

I don't think you will see to many 20" male motoros out there. Ive got 2 mature males both around 10-11". One is around 4 years old and has only grown another 1/2" in the last 2-2.5 years.

i had a 22" motoro in a 4'x4'x1'

she couldnt swim up the walls but she never did anyway

this is a great size tank for rays and i will deff be getting more of these size tanks in the future

heres the best pic i could find

a 4'x4' tank of 110 gallons is less than 1' tall. I think for an adult motoro I would want almost twice that.

If I am not mistaken it has a lot to do with where the ray was collected i think peru motoros are known to stay smaller. But other variants can get larger

The ones I was wondering about would be the ones from brazil if they get bigger. I haven't really seen any of those so I'm not sure there. Time to start another thread. lol
