Motoro stingray tiny white spot need help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great move with the new filter, tear a tiny chunk off of the sponge filter and put inside the canister, this will help the media culture with the beneficial bacteria we need to keep our tanks safe.

I suspect you could use a little more info on rays. Check out the stickies up top they have some good info. You really need massive filtration for rays. They produce 10x the waste per pound of body weight compared to other fishes by some experts estimates. I would put an FX5 or 2217 on that 75 gallon if you can control the flow. You have about 6-12 months before you need to upgrade tank size. 6'x3'2' is the minimum footprint for your ray when adult sized. If you already know this I apologize for being a know it all or jerk. If you don't already know this, just start preparing :)

Welcome to your new addiction

I've been doing quite a bit of research but the more information the better. I'm prepared for him to get big but alot of this im just learning as i go. The filtration they had were i bought the stingray made no sense to me, why that's all they had but i figured they knew better than me.
