Moving a 20" PACU...suggestions?

Me too, "Clove Oil"........
I wouldn't want to use something that "Might" kill the fish. But then again, Moving a 20" Pacu Might "Be Killed" and another Monster Fish Eater thread may come soon after!!

...BuBa the 20" PACU is in his new home and doing fine so far...
What an ordeal that was. We first took the plastic bag and with a loop of 1/2" hose in the opening, to hold it open, we corraled him into the corner. As soon as I got the bag turned around he made a mad dash into the waiting bag...
That's when all hell broke loose! He must have displaced 10 gallons of water in a roostertail as I closed the bag on him. He was swimming into the corner so hard it was streching really thin. I thought he was going to swim away bag and all!
We lifted him up and into the waiting tote.
I placed the oxygen hose into the tote and covered it with a heavy gauge plastic liner. We loaded him up and hauled ass to the new tank location.
When we would brake for corners, I could hear him motor in the tote.
Getting him into the new tank was really simple and scared the hell out of me. As soon as the plastic was removed he made a jump and right to the floor he went... I picked him up just like a steelhead and in the tank he went. (Not the ideal aclamenting I prefer) He is motoring around the new tank checking stuff out and seems to be just fine, Thank GOD!
Well now to get out of these wet clothes and
I'll be getting some more pix...

Id suggest the air pump, an some bungee tie downs to make sure that the rubbermaid lid doesnt come off if he decides to jump, plus a bit of stresscoat in the rubbermaid container an in the tank he will be residing in at your place.

thats one huge fish pacu. Glad everything went well with the move. I've never personally used clove oil but know people who have.
