It's a Clown Knife. It's 150 miles. Not a transcontinental trip.

if it were a guppy, and it were his beloved fish, we would tell him to do the same thng we are with air pumps

we could always stick you in a tiny box, with no air movement for a 150 mile journey and see if you like it;) "but its only mother stuffed in there, and not for an international trip"

wait, that dident sound right:ROFL:

on a real note.......if your that worried about your CK (and i would be too) get one of the inverters from wal-mart or wherever for cheap, and set up an internal or rig a HOB or can to somehow filter the water while he's in during transport.

personally if i had to move anything more than a half hour or so, i would go this route, or at the VERY least with an air pump that has a sponge filter that was cycled a few weeks prior to transport. its definatly a little bit of time and money, but it would be well spent ensuring your CK will make the trip as stress-free as possible.

Lol, funny stuff.

But yeah, the knife should be fine in an ice chest with water and maybe an air pump. Catch it using a bag so it doesn't get stressed too much. Though it'll have to be a pretty big bag, lol. 150 miles is little more than a 2 and a half hour trip, don't fret too much man.

Depends on how much you like your mother.

any big fish, knifes included, are difficult to transport. You will have to aerate the water.

I travelled with a very big arowana for 2000 kilometres. Here's what I did.

Get as big a container as can get in your car trunk.

Get battery operated air pumps, or better still, something you can connect to the car lighter socket. Put 2 airstones in it.

Bring a jerrycan of your tank water and hose and stop on the way as often as possible and do small water changes ( for that purpose I cut some holes on the container lid, so I could put the hose inside and suck water out and they were also used to pass the airstone tubing )

If it is cold get a heater ( sized to the container water volume ), linked to the lighter socket.

It should be allright.

If you do not aerate the knife will be dead. It will be dead in half an hour as most all monster fish would be.

Another option is a very big sealed bag ( since it is only 150 miles ) BUT full of oxygen , if you have the means or a friendly LFS who packs the knife for you.

Safe trip!
