Moving Day!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He took the move like a champ. I dumped him out of his PVC pipe straight into the net and then brought him over to the 220.

Btw, can anybody tell if it’s a male or female?

Great to hear everything went smoothly but not sure about the Endli's sex.

It's hard to tell, probably to young still. If I was forced to guess I'd say small pointy anal fin it's a female. But like I said it's probably to young to get a positive id.

Glad he took the move well. Looked like one of the eels was thinking "snack time snack time snack time"

Enlarging pic #6 I would guess male but might be too small.

Looks good, how hard is it to take care of fire eel?

Fire eels are pretty easy once you get them eating well. Two of mine ate well from the start and I’ve never had any issues with them. The third, which I got later, didn’t want to eat anything and it took nearly two weeks to get it eating. Once I got it eating though, it went great. You just have to have a tank big enough for them. If any of mine get much over 30” then I will probably have to look at rehoming them. Right now, my two largest fire eels are right around 22-23”.
