Thebrown sand is just black diamond blasting sand from Tractor Supply. I got the ultra fine or extra fine or something like that. It does make a mess when the fish, especially the vultures, kick it up. If I had to do it again, I would have probably gone with a courser grain size. It was only $8-9 per 50lb bag. I used 150lbs.
