he has to travel an hour and a half. those fish are going to need to be changed out of there water at least twice.

They'll be fine. Just throw an air stone or something in with them if your worried. THe one lfs where I buy all my nice fish is an hr away and I have no problems. I also have had fish in bags for 2-3 hours no probs. You have to remember where some of the fish come from and how long it takes to get to the US or their destination.

Alot of adult fish arn't shipped, they could make it, and everything could go off with out a hitch...

how ever if you have a fish start to go into shock or start polluting the water, you'll probably want to give him a nicer and safer ride.

I guess you have a point but I've transported many a fish in my day (hahahahah) that never had a problem. Get some sort of airstone. It's only 1.5hrs. I highly doubt you'll have a problem. What is your stock btw? Maybe I should go back and read through the thread.

I beleive home depot sells good grade buckets and someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe bb starts dying off after 24-48 hrs. I had established media in my xp3 that set for about 3 days before I got my 55 up and running and the parameters have been spot on!

get some of those oxygen pills the online sites ship with fish if you dont want to run airstones. Even without the pills you'll probly be fine.

Never thought of that but good idea!

Don't move tank with substrate in it EVER .

I moved my tank with substrate and turtles in it, not suggesting it, just wondering what I should have expected to happen.

I assume it adds a bit of stress to the edges while moving...not to mention the weight...
