bad and sad news
just took pond water temp
noon time
air temp 80 degrees
shallow and deep end temps were
68
:(
so how much is a nice 30" aro really worth?
:(

Don't know but if I had the room for another monster I'ld take it.

im a bit confused. your releasing the aro into the pond and selling the house. but if u sell the house u wont have the pond anymore so u wouldnt be able to keep the fish. so u should sell it, i think is the best option

Gotta find temp housing(for the aro) until summer then your good to go.

good idea but that sounds hard to find lol

i can only give advice on how to minimize stress when you move your arowana..i do this when we moved to our new home but i did this thing on my ck and he is quite docile compared to an aro. i suggest that when the water level is quite low... that is when the aro is somehow flat on its side but not yet freaking out..throw in a LARGE towel to cover it (make sure that its eyes are covered well) then gently roll the fish in on the towel so that when it moves the towel will cushion it. then slowly lift it and when you put it in the pond, do it slowly....
