Moving sick armatus , yay or nay ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Man.... Iwas reading the thread pulling for ya. Very sorry. It's real hard to grow them that big. I have lost my share of them. Every time I moved a sick or injured armatus out of the big tank to a smaller tank they died. Never again, will seperate with egg crate divider. I had a ray mouth one of mine into a weaken state eventually resulting in death. It's wierd how armauts can be so resilent one minute and dead the next. Good luck with your remaining armatus - true monster!

WOW, that is about how big my big guy was that i got from ya... sucks!

At least keep his lower jaw!

how do you go about preserving the lower jaw? And.. is it even possible to remove it from the upper jaw without damaging it?

It seems that way for me too. I wish I could keep other fishes with mine, but I don't wanna risk having them with any companions that would stress or kill em :/
