Moving sick armatus , yay or nay ?

Around 11 Pm las night, I noticed the death stance and I saw one of the ray was trying to hover over him. I just made a quick decision to fill up a tank with the original tank water, and move the sick armatus in the new tank. If I am at the point of no return, then why waste any time ? in the last 10 plus years I've been in this hobby, my # 1 enemy has always been time. I've always had a nasty gut feeling of "I should've done it sooner" feeling.

I caught him with a plastic bag, I didn't want to stress him even further by using a net.

I checked this morning at 3, he was fine...actually look upright for once but still kinda strange. Again at 8, he was still the same...

He's got a few stab wounds from the big armatus and an open wound on his nose from ramming into the glass..

As of now, lights off, clean water, lots of O2, salt and prayers..

Sounds like you've done all you can do.. only thing now is to wait and see. Hope it gets better. Keep us updated!
 
Still the same today.

I actually thought he was dead. I saw him friday night upside down and not moving. I noticed his head was next to the filter intake.

I was too tired and upset to do anything, so I went to bed.

I woke up this morning and grab bag to take him out and to my surprise, he was swimming around LOL....

I guess he;s not ready yet, he still act weirds, not better but not worst.

I'll update in a day or two

That's kinda amazing - never ever saw any fish period upside down, listliss, head on the intake - get up and swim away. Hard to believe - best of luck there.
 
Upside down and swimming again! Nothing less of a hardy Channa could recover like that!
I'm thinking... a punctured swim-bladder? This must be tough for you, good luck man!
 
I checked on him last night around midnight and he was doing okay, swimming okay and etc.

I woke up this morning to a warm water, apparently the heater malfunction and cook the poor guy !! I am beyond pissed. I am not sure if he was going to make it long term, but I thought he was on the right track for full recovery and now this.

What a bum day..

That sucks after all of your progress.Hope it wasn't one of those recalled heaters.

wow just reading this whole story... Crazy, sucks that this seems to happen with armatus!

Just baby the big one now and maybe will have better luck with him.
