looks like a little progress on my 400g systems being built - builder sent stand pics ? - still to be painted-

they will go on the wall that previously had 2 - 75’s and 150 -

2 - 6’x30”x30” - each with a 5’x2’x20” sump - L2 / pump per sump - 2 fx4’s and another piston driven air pump -

2 - mp40’s to push poo ?

Got into the wall to look at plumbing -

the bottom of the stack appears to be a heavy gauge metal T - the quick and sloppy would be to tie into the clean out in the neighboring bathroom add 90 and push it through the wall - i need around 9” of height or less to accommodate bulkhead drains on sumps - the clean out is at 8”

there is a cold water line just above the acesa hole -

the stands and sumps are ready to be picked up ? -

got move this 150g wednesday... not looking forward to that - Aimara gonna be pissy for sure ?

Reading this thread, for the first time ever in my life i am seeing a realtors nightmare, maybe due to my sister being a new realtor. Amazing lengths we go for for the fish. Im not sure if I am that dedicated to have a huge tank like this to add the plumbing it will need to make it easier.

How many hours do you spend a week on water changes in all tanks alone?

not selling anytime soon -

it’s easy to cap and patch to close plumbing-

the idea with the plumbing is it cuts down on maintenance -

the three bigger tanks will change themselves minus gravel vacs and algae scrubbing -

i’d say i spend 4 hours per week - but it’s a pandemic and it’s not like i can go anywhere -

i also don’t mind it - got 4 pythons (3 drain/1fill) - hot / cold mix line that runs on voice activation (google) -

we did have an appraisal recently- noting was really said - i keep my tanks pretty neat....

id say i’ve spent less than 8 hours on infrastructure for the tanks - outlets / drains -

had i known this was the future for this room when the walls were open it would be very different -

Cheers!

got 150g moved - ultimately if i keep this config going to put 75g here instead - flows better with 18” depth -

was able to slide tank and stand across floor on cardboard and towel -

aimara spent the night in a 75g - was unhappy - was trashing it - thankfully i put dumbbells on the lid as he was keen to get out -

got the stands in the garage- drove down the freeway with both in my 6’ tacoma bed... on end ? -

gotta get em inside -

saw sumps - should be ok - buddy shorted me 2” on the height ?‍♂️
