Moving tanks around, any suggestions are welcome!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
some progress -

builder was anxious to get my order ($) but not anxious to complete it in the quoted 8 weeks.... think we are going on 15-16 weeks -

lot of specs are off....

won’t be ordering here again.... was trying to support “local”

staining plywood in garage currently as it seems he’s too busy to be bothered with this step....

Hey all - as the story goes - more tanks more fish -

i bumped this up as it holds the evolution of my den / office / fish room -

trying to maximize gallons / to space ratio - hindsight should have gone 36” high on some tanks -

i’ve got 10’ of wall that could be 12’ that has 2 - 120’s on it - tanks are good stands kinda ish… maybe future sumps ??‍♂️ vs sell package -

don’t wanna go deeper than 3’

looking for input in how to get more gallonage in my room ??‍♂️

Nice! If I had one of those I'd never need help moving tanks.

i know - i’ve spent $1k-$2k paying folks from task rabbit to move tanks inside in the past -got a set of forks for the lil bobcat track loader - hopefully won’t need much assistance from now on ?

Would love to have a mini excavator and a bobcat. Had to hire someone last month to find the second lid on our old septic tank. In all truthfulness, a rented pallet jack worked great for us for moving the tank and stand around while drywalling...and we were able to get it inside....

You have the right kind of doors for a big tank. We had to move our stand and tank in before the walls were finished and the windows put in. I don't know how my husband did it by himself....the stand is constructed out of 3 1/2" tubular steel.

In answer to your question, I did start a thread at one time, but a power-hungry moderator who hasn't been seen on MFK in years now was randomly deleting threads. Ticked me off, so I told him to delete my build thread too. He was happy to do it. Just as well since MFK is no longer a big tank forum.
