Thank you very much for the nice comments:) I agree with you Anubisscott 100% and i think that goes with all species. i like that you linked your vid to your sig, nice touch.

Dovii_king- Thank you too and if they do spawn ill hit you up, until then hit up Umbeeking as i think he still has a couple of these beauties left otherwise you'll have to wait till he gets back from collecting:)

No doubt, just goes to show that care is definently a large part of getting a gourgous fish. Genes definently help, but when you combine that with great care you get awsome results. Good diet, waterchanges, quality of water, and environment all contribute. So with out a doubt you made that female something very special. Same goes with the male.

Jason they are looking spectacular as I said they would. Keep up the good work with them. They still have alot more surprises in store for you.

Anubisscott, normally I would agree with you on this but on this one you are wrong my friend. This one is all genetics;) These guys are still growing and freckels and colors are blooming with them as they put on size. I've collected large adults from this location and I must say they are unlike any in the hobby I have seen when it comes to freckles and color. While good food and clean water can help your fishes colors and appearence look more vibrant it however can not create more freckles or other markings that only genetics can create. I myself get surprised by this strain of Umbees. I have a male that i grew out that is looking mighty spectacular right now but he wasn't always that way. As a matter of fact he was not even one of my top pics. He had the size but very little freckles. I went and put him in a tank of his own because he was getting to aggressive with the others. A few weeks passed and I payed him no attention at all. Then one day I went to feed him and he came to the front of the tank and Bam! This fishes face was laced with so many freckles I couldnt believe it. We all know Umbees color up as the mature right! Will these guys are on a whole nother level when it comes to Freckles and color. Just you wait and see..........:D

umbeeking those specimens are prime quality ...Ya know I would have picked some up If I had room. Maybe I will have to make some. Great job collecting. Prime quality.

I can only Imagine what they are going to look like when they are 20 + inches Gonna have to wear shades to look at them to keep yoru Retina's intact :D

Not sure whats best Metallica or a perfect little Umbee! Nice!

HaHa I thought the same thign that song is so Fitting! just by knowing Jason and the care and devotion that he puts into all of his fish.

I want some of this strain so bad! but with my back surgery comming up this fall there isn't any way money is going to be to tight ... BUT In te End I am still very stoked that I have a TON of the General's bloodline swimming around in some tanks :) and I am stoked for everyone who is lucky enough to get their hands on these guys and I know that you'll be breeding them eventually and will hook me up :-)

they are looking great indeed but I agree w/ Chris 200% that it is majority genetics. Food and water quality plays and important part but w/ location X this is how the umbee's look !!! I can vouch for that from personal experience as I have a 180g full of them :D
