These guys are still growing and freckels and colors are blooming with them as they put on size. I've collected large adults from this location and I must say they are unlike any in the hobby I have seen when it comes to freckles and color. While good food and clean water can help your fishes colors and appearence look more vibrant it however can not create more freckles or other markings that only genetics can create. I myself get surprised by this strain of Umbees. I have a male that i grew out that is looking mighty spectacular right now but he wasn't always that way. As a matter of fact he was not even one of my top pics. He had the size but very little freckles. I went and put him in a tank of his own because he was getting to aggressive with the others. A few weeks passed and I payed him no attention at all. Then one day I went to feed him and he came to the front of the tank and Bam! This fishes face was laced with so many freckles I couldnt believe it. We all know Umbees color up as the mature right! Will these guys are on a whole nother level when it comes to Freckles and color. Just you wait and see..........
