H guys, I'm getting out of facebook after being told about this messenger! But I'm confused about the site, it says I have to have a hot-mail address? Can anyone help me, I can't stand FB!

lol msn messanger is a client based software meaning you need to download the application to your computer. Facebook is a networking site. 2 completely different things. You need a Windows Live account, you can basically take any email address and sign up for Windows Live with it. Otherwise sign up for a Hotmail account.
If you don't know what downloading is:
Step 1: Move away from the computer.
Step 2: Take a 6th grade course on computers.

Of course I know about downloading, but unsure on the hotmail! Does it mean I'll have to have a new email address? Or is it only for msn!

Like I said, you can sign up for Windows Live service with your existing email but if you are asking about Hotmail and you do not have a Hotmail account then you will need to sign up for hotmail. But to use Windows Live messanger you do not need a Hotmail address.
