GATF are usually not kept solo because they tend to be extremely skittish at smaller sized. Most people get disappointed with them, and few grow them past 12in. I would say. They are also sensitive to a degree so you need to be aware of their special requirements. The only real killer GATF I have seen was grown to about 3.5ft in a 3,000-4,000g tank and would take out its tank mates. All others have mainly suffered from bullying from tankmates.
