8 months and going strong.
I have had 2 hiccups with the system: both were flow related--the needle valves are a bit fickle and my guess is the flow get reduced due to sediment building up. The 480 had flow stoppages for at least a week and some of the fish looked sluggish and stopped eating. After a 50% water change and turning the dripper back on, everyone was fine. The drip emitters are complete junk. do not use these! they pop off, flooding the tank with cold water, I scrapped those after it happened with the 480g in august.
350g: 7.6pH, 0-.25 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 5 Nitrate (it has gone down!)
480g: 7.6pH, 0-.25 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 20 Nitrate (Time to increase the flow)
375g: 7.8pH, 0-.25 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 20-40 Nitrate. (Time to increase the flow)
110g: 7.6pH, 0-.25 Ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10-20 Nitrate
Other than feeding, water tests, wiping down the outside glass (i dont get very much algae growth), and the 2 50% changes due to emitter fail and valve stoppage, I haven't done much "fishkeeping" in over 8 months, lol.
Because it is difficult to see water dripping into the tank, I am going to start looking into a drip version of a bubble counter so that I can see the flow going into each tank. Pics to come.
