Ok that who's your favorite rapper thread inspired me to do Who's your top three favorite guitarist? Mine has to be Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde and Rob Marcello. Who's yours?

umm ..for me it has to be Hendrix,Wylde and Satriani but to be honest there's so many i respect

Hendrix is great but I would rather listen to something different. He played the same licks and riffs over and over again. Same thing with his chord progressions. If ever look at his music it's the same thing over and over again. Satriani is great but same thing with Handrix a little repetative. I mean Yngwie is not exception as he is repetative as well but when he does Orchestra music in E minor it is just phenominal.

I like Zakk Wylde, but not BLS.

Also, the two dudes from Dragonforce are probably the best I have seen lately.

Definately the guys from DragonForce. What about Jani ex-guitarist from Sonata Arctica. Now he is great!

lol that's quite true cross127 but,Hendrix and Satriani have 'feel' to their style,lot of modern guitarist's are without a doubt better player's but to me lack soul in playing...

LOL because they don't take acid anymore on stage . Hendrix was good in his time but I find many guitarist now a days have more feeling and knowledge about the true meaning of music my self included.
