Wondering if anyone has info on how fast muskies will grow. Any of the species would be great (tiger, Spotted, True). Thanks!

That my friend depend's on the tank size ( 250gal plus) and capable filtration .. the better this is the better the chance of survival in cativity .. it will take a few year's to reach full size 3 feet or better . in the first year if it survives a foot or more if condition's are ideal..:D

Well, I would be ordering 12" spotteds from someone so what could I expect to see by next October? 24"? 30"? More?

I tried googling it but it didnt show me anything specific. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

A Tiger Muskie would grow slower as it is a cross with a Northern Pike!

Sorry, but this is wrong! Hybrids often grow larger and faster than pure strains. It's called "hybrid vigor"

Here's a quote from MinnesotaMuskieFarms. They raise game fish for stocking lakes (and they sell some for aquariums)
"Our Muskies are stocked as fry in mid-May, and over the first 5 to 7 days, are fed zooplankton. Next they switch to small Fathead minnows or sucker fry which are one half their size. In three weeks they reach a length of 2 inches. By July 4, the Tiger Muskies are 7 to 9 inches and the Pure Strains are 4 to 6 inches. These fish are fed large amounts of minnows until mid-September when the harvest begins. At harvest the Tiger Muskies are 12 to 14 inches and the Pure Strains are 10 to 12 inches."

As you can see, they grow fast!! Tiger muskies can reach a foot long in 4 months!

i just read up on it and it says that both muskey and tiger muskey reach about 6'. it didnt say anything a true muskey being any larger
