Hey, Sorry this might be in the wrong forum, but does anyone have any good musky tips on how to catch them and what kind of lures to use? And does anyone have some cool pics of them? Thanks KB

u gonna catch them to put in your tank....... they get huge

Patience and large bait worked for me, live 10-12" chubs.

Come to Lake Mill Lace up here in MN................"where everything is big" that's the saying up there. That lake has huge everything from muskies, pike, walleye, to jumbo perch.

Im going to Stony Lake in Canada this summer and I have heard that lake is filled with them. I was there a couple of years ago but wasnt prepared, so this time I want to be ready!!

They dont call them the fish of 10,000 casts for nothing.

yep i second that. i fish alot proably over a 100 days a year. ive been out a few times this year already which isnt easy in PA weather. never caught one and in fact ive only ever seen one in the wild and thats when i was kyacking and happened to look down to see a huge one over 40 inchs! proably pushing 40 pounds. lol. there out there tho.

Forget musky they are over rated. Dog fish aka bowfin are by far the sweetest fish is fresh water lakes. Part eel part dinosaur, and a fierce predator. They are my favorite and very often looked over as a game fish and often killed for no reason.. anyone agree with me??

I hear that...In my 12-13 years of fishing, I have taken 3 muskie. If i had a big enough tank i'd put them in. Baits that have worked for myself and others: raw shrimp, large jointed Rapalas, chicken (raw breasts), and large minnows. If you find a good spot for muskies (ask at bait shops, etc.) hit it hard and hit it often. If you try once or twice and get skunked, you are probably doing something wrong...change up bait or fishing method.

Wow I didn't know that dogfish are just bowfins....again wow.....

I've never heard of Bowfins until I came onto this site but have been accidentally catching what we call "Dog Fish" everynow and then. They are scary looking to me and seems like killers. We don't kill it though when we catch it but we don't like it either. They are tough fighters though I must say, pretty fun when you get one.

Bowfins huh...
