Thats cheap------Especially if good specimen...

Sticky sure does seem to beable to find all the good deals on the Piranha...

Thanks for the kind words.
He is my pride and joy-
The gill curl is going away,I'm pleased to say.....Shouldn't be much longer before I can post pics of it 100% healed.....

I'm not sure what pics you hunted down----But I have only shown roughly 2 or 3 pics since it has had gill curl....Most likely you seen pics before the gill curl..

I have raised this guy since under the 2 inch mark and am going to continue to raise him-Hopefully to full potential in the next many years to come...

I'll work on some better pics and get some macro's of the gill curl...

you had pics a while back on piranha fury.. they are gone now i just checked.. what kind of filtration are you using..

i know of a trick that cures gill curl fast but i doubt you wanna risk it with your piraya.. i know an old asian guy that cures gill curl on his arows by increasing the water flow with giant pumps to tire the fish out.. then he will remove the fish and put it into shallow water, then he will start massageing the operculum gently with his fingers.. what it does is damage the operculum and causes them to heal straighter, then you repeat untill and it straightens them out.

you might now up missing a couple of fingers though if you try that on a piraya..

I move alot of pics in photobucket-It breaks the links.
His tank is filter with 2 rena xp 3's and a koralia #3 powerhead.

I have heard of that cure-But have not read much about it-----All's I'm going to use is excellent water quality to heal this-Nothing more....

Excellent water quality is the secret, that so many people cant get right.. hah.

Even algae on the back? I find myself not cleaning the back glass when it ges algae, just the 2 sides and front...

One will not see algea in my setup's-----I have only posted a few pics of the bad times-Otherwise,IMO-it is pure laziness not to have a clean tank....

I also have the luxury of having other's maintain my tanks....So the work doesn't fall on my shoulders.....Makes life alot easier....

Who else maintains your tanks? Thats great though.
