lol actually i dont have kids, the fish basically are, the baby toys are a attempt to keep them entertained and not chewing on the liner, i do catch them playing with them but not enough, they had started to chew on the wire for the heater so i had to cover it with a piece of PVC
yeah, they chew anything they can, i finally broke down the temp tank the redtail was in and threw the 50lbs of river rock in the pond and the pacus have been trying to chew on those also

when i was at gillz (in elkhart) last week the clerk told me about a guy around here that had a pond in his basement with pacu that kept chewing holes in it. i assume that must be you. nice to see some pics of it. looks good.

If you keep getting trouble with the pacus you could try putting a layer of garden weed barrier or to over the pond to keep the pacus a bit away from the liner that is assuming it is fish safe. I was planning to use it in an outdoor pond to protect from gravel damaging the liner
