If you keep getting trouble with the pacus you could try putting a layer of garden weed barrier or to over the pond to keep the pacus a bit away from the liner that is assuming it is fish safe. I was planning to use it in an outdoor pond to protect from gravel damaging the liner

Either that or just fillet them as wonderfully suggested.

Why go through so much trouble when they will eventually get through and bite what they intended to bite?

Based on the stock list I do not think rays would be a great idea, sooner or later the etc would hurt them or eat then and it sounds like the pacus would cause them probes too.

How will 2 liners help, if they chew thrugh 1, the water will just go between the 2 liners and that's not good either
