Is your intake behind all the rock?

I will be doing something like this, and I was wondering where to put the intake and return lines

Yes it is,just stack the rock against it.It worked fine for me.Your return lines will be at the top so it won't even factor in unless your stacking them that high.

Nice set up, although I agree with Navygirl, I would have gone with sand.

Yeah,I plan on changing the substrate out to either crushed coral or sand here in the next month or so.The rock gravel was just something I got when I just started this whole fish thing.

why not sand and crushed coral, thats what i did, my fish seem to like it, always diggin up shells
