the lower the humidity the faster heat up and faster cool down, but the high humidity keep temperature last longer without heater, so they are not much different in power saving !
 
very true hungDang. As soon as my rebate card comes back for menards I will buy a door. Than I plan on running the dehumidifier only enough to keep humidity at 50% should give it a decent rate of heat retention while not getting to hi to the point its like stepping in a steam room.

No the frame is made from 2x4's. I will post the most complete price list for the build that I can a little later
