I just trying to helping the op. If there ARe "serveral posts" stating that ge silicone 2 is not advised by a reliable source please share it?

As much as I like your replies for the most part Bomber, lately i've spotted a few that were down right rude and obnoxious.

That being said. GE Silicone II has an ingredient in it called "Bio-Seal" this ingredient is in fact a Mold / Mildew Inhibitor.

As informative as you can be, I wish you'd take a second to remember we're all here to ask the stupid questions from people that know the answer. Not everyone depends on Google. Sometimes Google spouts off differing answers to the same question. And quite frankly I'm not quite sure why a Mod hasn't snatched you up and rung your bell for how ignorant you are to new members, that are less informed.
