This is one of four Bolivian rams, it has the best color, but it looks a little thin, hopefully that'll change over time.

Most of the java fern, as you can see, are creating plenty of shoots, and I'll be removing them with the next water change, and it's also when I'll be changing the purigen and recharging the used bags.

If you look closely, you will see the female vijeta II behind the male.

Also, I'm supposed to have 15+ corydoras sterbai, but I can only count 8 at the most, they are very shy and I'm a little worried they might have died.

Sterbai are very shy, it's hard for me to get a head count on mine unless there is food in the tank. I imagine it's not an option to move stuff around to search for them huh?

Beautiful pics by the way, I really love the apistos. Sorry if you've mentioned it before and I forgot but what made you choose bolivian rams over german blues?

I choose Bolivians as they get a little bigger and are more subtle in color, I like fish that require closer examination to appreciate its beauty.

I had one regular German ram, but turned out to be extremely aggressive (which surprised me) and I had it removed.

And I'm not going to move around inside the tank to get a head count, I'll do a water test tomorrow to check quality, but it was fine 2 days ago.

Oh I see. That makes sense! Good choice then :D I have bad eyesight so really any fish needs to be examined closely. :P

Sorry the one you had was aggressive. I hope my female doesn't get too rowdy. With how pretty she is I don't think I need a male.

That's a much better idea than moving everything. Hopefully everything turns out okay!

I add only liquid fertilizers, it's called tropica premium and happy life karbo (liquid karbo)

And the plants are doing great, I also add 5ml per week of another fertilizer, can't remember the name, but I got it in the fridge and I'll tell you the name.

I'll be getting new fish tomorrow, will post photos then.

I've added 3 purple breasted acaras, 2 females and one male.

The colors have yet to be fully developed, and the male apistogramma vijeta II are clearly interested in them.
He flashes and makes a display, it's a territorial behavior but he does not attack or chase them.

Hopefully they will get a long after they've settled in and of course these acaras grow a couple of cm larger then the vijeta so I believe they will hold their own.

I couldn't get to many pictures now, due to them settling in.

The diamond tetras are still at the store, I'm keeping them there for a week or two due to their size, and to make sure they are disease free.

Here's some pics of the new addition of the tank

Many of my fishes were curious to the bag and quickly came to have a look.

I apologize for lack of good photos, but here's one of them and the male vijeta showing off in front.
