My 190 gallon

You're welcome, sorry I can't be of more help. Did you get the PM? It's not showing me that it sent, maybe it's just being wonky.

I hope they'll hold one for you, can't wait to see it (if you get one)!

I got it, but every time I try to open a picture on my iPad the app crashes.

I'll try again tomorrow on the computer.

Wicked awesome. I would go with maybe 3 or 4 discus if your water is right.

Ph 7.2-7.5

30-40% water changes every week.

Temp 28 degrees.

I'm considering it, but maybe removing some of the angels sooner then planned.

What do you think?

I made a thread in the discus sub forum for answers regarding this.

I've been feeding blood worms, but I'm trying to get them to eat flakes and granules.

I know the ones that are at my work eat flakes and granules no problem, but mine got used to bloodworms and don't seem interested in anything else now, except algae pellets, they eat that to..

But they will eat granules and flakes eventually, I just have to keep at it.

I've decided to try out discus.

I'm thinking 4 around 10 cm / 4 inches.

Maybe as soon as next week, dependig on how much bills i have to pay.

But i'm thinking one red turquoise, one blue turquoise and two red pigeon.

Are you going to remove some angels or keep them? I prefer angels over discus but I still can't wait to see yours! :D

Very hard to tell... I'm thinking i'll let the angels stay and in worst case scenario i reduce them to 5 or 6 or remove the discus (i'm more into angels then discus myself)

I'm a little worried that my ottos will eat the slime of the discus, but i keep them well feed (4-5 algae wafers a day).

I've wanted discus for awhile, but i didn't thought i could keep them.
But after having this tank up and running now for awhile, I feel a little more confident.
Water values are good and stable, my water change routines are good and my temperature is stable as well.

Besides, i'd like more colour in my tank, just hope they don't stand out too much like my orange molly did in my old 90 gallon tank, it sort of stealed attention away from the tank itself and was a bit distracting overall.

Just a little update on the amano front...

Looks like they have been reduced from 28-30 to about 6-10.

My angels are hunting them down:D

Was expecting this, but not this soon, but i'll see if the ottos can manage to clean the tank on their own, and if i see the need for backup, i'll order some more amano shrimps once in a while to keep it looking nice.

They are like a 1 dollar each, so say 20 dollars every 2-3 months for a nice clean up is managable.
