I bought 12 feeder guppies, for the fish in my 55 Gallon, I was excited to watch them chase the fish and get a treat. I dropped the fish in instantly a female rosy barb snatched one, no one else has ate any of the fish. Now I have 11 ugly guppies huddling at the top cornor of my tank, I wont feed any of the fish for couple days and hope they disapear.

I'll be ticked if I get stuck with these things.

No offense but I wouldn't expect them to get eaten immediately or at all. I dont believe the fish in your tank are really predatory. Put the guppies in a small tank and watch em have babies for fun.

IMO i don't think guppies are ugly. Maybe you should take them back to the store?

Dude, you have no real predators in your 55.

You're lucky your barb ate one.

I agree with the above. Why waste feeder guppies when you know your fish aren't predatory? More like community fish, best feed them flakes instead.....

The paradise gourami and some of the rosy barbs might just eat them. The rest though won't.

Yeah, a major part of feeding feeder fish is having fish that eat other fish ;)
For most of those "predators" their main prey would be small insects and zooplankton.

I actually kind of like the regular feeder guppies, at least better than those "fancy" ones. I line bred some before and ended up with some pretty cool little swordtail (top and bottom) and lyretail ones with semi-wild-type coloration

5 Bala Sharks, 1 Red Tail Black Shark, 1 Rainbow Shark, 5 Rosy Barbs, 1 Paradise Gourami.

thats what you wanted to eat feeders:ROFL: you better get you a young oscar if you want to see something destroy feeders:evil_lol:
