The test kit should be somewhere from 15-20 depending on what kind you get. So not too pricey. With you having guppies already were you wanting more community style fish?

I don't like to pay for shipping so i buy local fish, where i am it is a bit limited.

I go into the pet store look around and see what i like. Then go home research the fish. Type of enviroment it needs how big it will get and what size tank it needs and what can live with it.

Then get what makes the most since and i like.

Great way to do it! I actually do the same. The research step is the key part that can't be overlooked

Tetras, mollies, swordtails,.. I have a couple swordtails in my community tank and I like them but that may not be your thing but any of those would work

oh no. unfortunately, you guys, as well as my grandpa were right. the sunfish ate 2 of my guppies:( as a result the guppies have been temporarily moved to a 2.5 gallon bowl until i can get a 10 gallon tank. (prolly just a few weeks) any ideas on what could go in with the sunfish and not run the risk of being eaten?
