My 2 Jack Dempsey

Hey other MFK,
These are my 2 jack dempsey I have. I think I have a Male, Female pair but I'm not 100 percent. I know for sure I have 1 female the larger of the 2.

Black one is definitely a male. The lighter colored one looks to be female, but I’m not 100% sure.

Awsome. Thank you. I believe the lighter jack is a female as well, I mainly was questioning the darker one. Iv had both of them sense they were half inch. I got both of them and different times months apart.

Black is a male because there is absolutely no blue by the mouth. Females have a lot while males have less

I remember reading that head profile is also different between the two.

Thanks! I’m very impressed with him, considering he was a half inch runt at a petsmart.
Jacks will breed pretty easily, they should start pairing soon.

I do plan on breed these 2. They are in a 40 gallon cube. I will post more pictures of the tank later.
