My 22inch widebar dat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I guess in order for a thread to reach 8 pages there needs to be some controversy, right? haha
I want to thank all the response i got from my pics, and i promise i will post more pics and hopefully a vid real soon to prove how happy and content my fish are in this puddle of a tank. haha I'm not always prompt with these things so give me time to post some new stuff, thanks
I also want to thank the members who have stood up to what i see as well as a bit of ignorance, sorry TIKARMANN, but true. I'm in no position to upgrade and i am convinced that i will never need to with this dat. Maybe for the aro some day, figuring they can reach upwards of 40inch or so

TIKARMANN...I spent a few minutes searching a recent thread of your tank. Very impressive tank as well as fish bro!! But i believe the reason you had to eventually upgrade is because of your rays and nonsouthamerican aros (not your dats) I think if you ever decided to get rid of those beautiful rays, you would find yourself with a bunch of wasted space (just my opinion).
Also, i would put a bet on it that your not going to be able to maximize each one of your dats full potential when it's all said n done. The alpha dat in each size group will make sure of that. Kinda cruel isn't it? No hard feeling bro, i know you love your dats as much as me!

T1KARMANN,you are 1 funny dude man...I think you just feel bad cuz someone out there have an ST that bigger than your and w/ a smaller tank than your...Apparently he doing a great job raising the ST that size in a very small little tank..Great job OP for having one of the biggest ST at the moment....

what a silly thing to say a tank is split into 3 parts top middle and bottom just like my tank would look empty with no rays yours would look empty with no tiger but it would look great and more balanced with no aro

this is my ST when it was in my old tank that was deeper than yours and wider the tiger was the same size maybe even smaller as it was 2 years ago and it looks cramped

i have had my whole collection for over 6 years they were grown in a 350g then i upgraded when needed and added a few more something you should take advice from not be so defencive

once my ST went into a larger tank the size exploded which tells me even a 84 long x 32 wide x 28 deep tank was stunting its grows

what some people class as a large tank is not big for 3ft rays 24inch ST 28inch aro but years ago i thought a 6x2x2 was massive

lets see a video or a end to end shot then we will see you have watched this fish grow for 6 years in this tank so its no shock you have not seen it outgrow it
all the people saying its fine have small tigers in most cases no bigger than 16inch which would be fine in a tank your size your tiger has 5inchs on that size and most people on this forum have never even seen a tiger that size in the fleash

lets put this a totally different way if you think its ok then fine but i recommend a tank upgrade

as for not getting the most out of my tigers you are wrong i have grown a NGT to 15inch from 12 inch two years a IT from 8 inch to 16 inch 2 years and the thin bars are max size at 14-15 so your wrong the massive size difference helps a lot and they dont fight with one big boss he keeps order and how many years do you think it will take the others to even come close in size to mess with the alph

a great job raising it now its raised time for a new tank

Welcome to MFK, you're going to love this site and we are looking forward to more of your posts!

Oh yeah, you win! That's the nicest looking Black on this site IMO. Keep the pictures coming!

Like I said before, I like the Black Aro. If you’re going to take T1KARMAN's advise and get rid of the Aro I will take it off your hands. I agree with T1, the Aro just doesn't fit and you should give it to me ;)

Incredible fish man, very nice

...we all know (or should anyway) that Dats are slow moving almost placid fish...we're not talking about Dorados here, plenty of room to turn.

besides, he's from Asia...don't all asian fish know how to Tokyo drift around corners?

by the looks of your avitar you are another one ramming a large ST in a small tank and how long do you think your bd will be ok for if my rays are anything to go on

you should be looking at a upgrade to yourself soon

no wonder you are backing him up

What I learned in one of my psych classes when I was still in college: unless you are in court or under suspicion of the law, it's always the insecure people that feel a need to justify/prove themselves to others....
