That is beautiful, you just gave my husband an idea for a moat around the house! But he says we would have windows in the basement so we can see the pond from below!

I used a very simple trashcan filter. Everything can be bought at home depot or lowes except the filter media local pond store . I've never had any water problems so it works pretty well and I only clean it out twice a year.I bought some center blocks and and made a place for the can to sit down in the ground. here's a simple diagram and a few pics. My next one I have 4 plastic 55 gal. drums that I'm going to use for a 8 to 10,000 gal. that I'm going to start this fall. When i get a little more time I'll show you my ideas on that. GOING TO BE A DAD TOMORROW.

Very coo. How big are the koi? Looks like you got a fare few there. They're gonna love the 8-10,000 pond.
yes I have a 2001 lightning that I bought new. I only have 26000 miles on it and so far I've got close to 500hp
, as for the Koi they rang 4" to 13"
