Thanks! I just noticed I never posted a picture of the canopy.

It's sectional also:

the stand looks so nice i wouldnt be looking at the fish

LOL. I'm buying a lot of very large cool looking driftwood pieces along with a lot of plastic plants. Still looking for cool rocks. I'm hoping to make the inside of the tank just as beautiful as the stand. :)

That looks really nice. Something to be proud of.

Just make sure that the stand is supported where it isn't touching the floor. If it isn't the weight over time will cause a big, probable sudden leak.

It really is a beautiful setup.

Nice tank! What fish is going in?

Thanks for the compliments!

It's touching the floor. The house is old and the floor was not level so I spent an entire day with string lines and a table saw ripping 2x4's to make sure the stand was on "solid" footing and most importantly level.

I cut and stained some trim and 1/4 round to match that will cover those gaps up so it won't be as noticeable. I'll get that put on tomorrow also, I hope. :)

I'm going to cycle the tank with about 20 or so Tiger Barbs. Over time I'll introduce Pictus Cats, Clown Loaches, Electric Yellow & Blue Cichlids, Silver Dollars, Severums, maybe a Bichir.

Still kicking around ideas on stock list but those are some of my ideas so far. Sorry no Arowana. :)

But the MAIN occupants will be a pair of Oscars, one Red Tiger and one Lemon or Albino Tiger.

what I can see it has no bracing. Just looks like Plywood and no 2x4's. If it were me I wouldn't out 300 gallons of water on it unless it has some structural bracing. Like I said though. I'm not an engineer. here is what just my frame looked like for my 220

I even added more 2x4's after this pic. I don't think Kitchen cabinets are not made to hold that kind of static load and those just look like kitchen cabinets to me. Maybe a better pic would explain more though. there might be somthing I am missing.

LoL! Sorry but seriously, some of these stands...

...and I'm sure he would rather have that thing sitting in his living room rather than that beautiful stand he already has... :screwy:

Awesome stand and tank Bud8fan - keep it classy.

very nice stand and canopy.

wow.

almost 10 months and still empty? that has to be extremely frustrating.
