yeah i have a strawberry peacock, managuense, ice blue zebra, jewel cichlid, albino red fin zebra, kenyi, acei, texas cichlid, jack dempsey cichlid, silver dollar, firemouth, snow white cichlid, and other various african cichlids they're fun and surprise me with different colors changes everyday

You're going to need a MUCH bigger tank.

Also, you have mixed american cichlids with african cichlids = not advised.

Yeah i tried that once in my 75 gallon and my jack dempsey ended up torn from the african cichlids. They have different environments and requirements of water and other things. I would not recommend mixing american and african cichlids. especially in a 40 gallon tank where a jaguar cichlid will take over when it reaches 5 or 6 inches

there all still small tho and all get along great no problems with fighting or chasing at all the eat good and i have a 120 for them for when they get bigger so i have it all planed out

Yeah... I would just put them in the 120g now. As far as mixing African with Americans... it can be done, but it is just not really advised. Some Africans are very American like, however Rift Lake Africans are the ones most people will say not to mix with Americans. Mbuna need a lot of veggies and should not be eating a whole lot of proteins or they may get bloat. Good luck and use the 120!!!
