Speaking as a lfs manager, the opinions of the employees are no more sound than the opinions of MFK members. Opinions are often passed as fact. I encourage you to begin reading books and credible magazines rather than take all of your knowledge from a store employee or a fellow member on MFK.
I am in no way trying to suggest that MFK members are not informed. Recognize that much of what these people know (myself included) comes from reading books first and then discussing with fellow members about like opinions.

Information from reputable books is good. Information from first hand experience is better, but point well taken.
