My 5 gallon fish tank

it would look tight somthing like this

Why would u put an in-tank filter in such a small tank?
You should try a HOB like an Aqua Clear.
That way you'll have more space and better filtration.
 
please lighten up on stocking, and resize your images.
in there you have:
a pleco( gets 1'+)
2 mollies(around 2.5")
an electric yellow(5")
2 zebra danios(1.5")
2 gold barbs(1.5")
and 2 platies(1.5")
that adds up to like 10 fish, i can only imagine what your ammonia levels are like. you should really move them or get rid of them because none of them are getting their proper care.

i water change it once a week so be quit and these fish have been living together for 6 months
