My 55g is leaking... AGAIN! and from the side this time....

People are against play sand compared to the PFS for a simple reason. PFS is better. The granules are less fine and meant to be submerged in water. They cloud water less, settle faster, and have practically no debris in it when you buy it. Play sand is very dirty and takes multiple rinses to remove all the random debris, not meant to be submerged, and clouds water easily and settles slowly. Plus the finer the granule thee easier it is to clog your filter, depending on what type of filtration you are using, and destroy an impeller.

As far as the not even removing the gravel and just resealing one side because you got tired? I mean... Real simple, half ass seal job, is going to result in a half ass tank, and likely more leaking in the future. "hulling" a 55g tank by yourself shouldn't be too difficult. 55 gallon tanks while awkward to carry by yourself being 4' long are not heavy when broken down completely...

i no it wasnt heavy, its the fact of carrying a 4ft long piece of glass, trying to dodge dogs and cats, and being able to make it around all the sharp turns with out knocking it.

I didnt wash the sand that i have in my 150g i just put it in and filled it, and it was only cloudy for a couple hours. I did put ph buffer stuff in it which i noticed really clouds the water, so i think thats the reason why its still cloudy. its some what starting to clear hopefully by tomorrow ill be able to put my fish back in after i get back from my interview tomorrow night...
