always complications, hopefully it doesn't have to take going to court to get remedied. At least you gave yourself leeway in regards to your wet cats' home it's not like they're unable to turn around or anything like that.but I'm pretty sure your dry cats were being salivated over by your wet ones in a couple of those pics lol. Be sure to keep us posted, I like to live vicariously you know :)

They are still very comfortable. I just know how incredibly long these projects take.

Sometimes a deadline really helps. I just know that what when I think something will take 4 hours it usually ends up taking more like 8-12 due to some crazy snag. So now, I just assume things will take forever, and I just get what I can done... Like today. I'm going out to see if I've finally got the autowater changer to stop leaking so I can finish setting it up. Instead, I go out to find someone has been munching on the slime coat of my beloved eels. So, that means a water change in the 385 gallon pond, a water change in the 180, transferring biomaterial to the pond including gravel and wood, and moving of bunch of fish.... all in 95 degree weather. An hour and a half later, I still haven't even looked at the auto water changer, and I've got to put together a treatment plan for my eels that won't wipe out the bio filtration but be kind to their sensitive skin. I'm thinking melafix and pimafix combined with oral antibiotics. So, yeah. Every project seems to take a thousand times longer than it should from things getting in the way.

I hope your pond comes along without too many crazy snags!

see snags are like normal schedule with the pond, I've tried and tried to get it up on normal schedules but when you were going for a liner pond and have to go concrete because hedgehogs like to dig holes right through the liner into the pond, you realize that snags are becoming more and more like regular maintenance. lol

so you gonna keep teasing us with avatars or are we actually gonna see full size pics of him up close?

Yep. You'll probably be happier in the end with concrete. Less chance of a tear. ;)

As for photos... I have been working SOOOOO hard on the system, and it's just sapped everything out of me. And then 100% of my day yesterday was spent trying to save my dying fire eel. I must have ended up driving about 100 miles to get the meds I needed, and worked on treatment constantly while at the same time tried to get the autowater changer to stop freaking leaking! The first meds weren't working, so I had to hunt down others. He was doing death rolls last night and I was certain I would find him dead this morning. Well, apparently, what I've done is working as he's upright and out this morning although quiet and on the bottom. He's by no means out of the woods, but making it through the night and his huge improvement is very encouraging.

.

wow, it's always crrazy when one of my wet pets is sick so i feel for you. Hopefully he'll recover over the next week. and aren't auto waterchanges supposed to leak? mine sure does lol. I finally got laze and positioned the leaky part over the sump, seems to work. lol

yeah and I'm hoping the concrete will be easier to maintain once properly installed as well, my 20" plecos are mischevious and could sometimes pull the liner down around the skimmer box.
