It's great sitting outside having a beer and talking with your friends, it's right besides the sitting area. You can hear the orfe splasing in trying to catch muscito's. I'm just waiting for them to grow, then there more impressive.

maybe try channel cats ,they get big and are tolerant of the cold?

Hiya Mikestack, welcome to MFK. Channels would be way to big for that pond very quickly.
Those eels like out of the Amsterdam canals would be amusing, on rainy days he might have to chase them off the lawn or fetch them out of the other pond.

That is a good idea! "paling" as we call it, seems good! I don't know if they need salt water when they get older or something. But I will look it up.

That is a very nicely done pond with good pictures showing how it was done! I've always wanted to make one but our weather here in Melbourne, Australia is shocking...it fluctuates all the time and we get crappy storms a lot.

I might just help out my uncle make a turtle pond he wants for his backyard and then see where i go from there..

Well done on the pond and looking at your project makes me want one as well!
