It contains 3 Pumpkinseed and 3 BluegiIMG_4196.JPGll sunfish, all wild caught. The sand is pool filter sand, and the rocks were all collected from my backyard. The filtration is one Aquaclear 110, one MagnumIMG_4210.JPG 300 and 1 DIY overflow and sump into a bucket of 3 gallons of bioballs. There is no heater. The plants are all fake and come from Michael's craft store.

Sorry for the way the text formated. This is what is supposed to say:

This is my 75 gallon native tank. It contains 3 Pumpkinseed and 3 Bluegill sunfish, all wild caught. The sand is pool filter sand, and the rocks were all collected from my backyard. The filtration is one Aquaclear 110, one Emperor 300 and 1 DIY overflow and sump into a bucket of 3 gallons of bioballs. There is no heater. The plants are all fake and come from Michael's craft store.

That's over stocked move some you should at most three in a 75 gallon move so move some or move them all to a larger tank.

Not true at all. Having 3 in there means one gets the crap kicked out it (trust me, I tried it, and kept winding up with dead fish). Overstocking spreads the aggression. Zimmerman recommends 6-7 in a 75. There is a ton of open space in the tank, and they all have hiding places. There is very little aggression in the tank, and the parameters are all in line

also, these were all caught in MA, and the biggest MA sunfish is about 7". They don't get anywhere near their theoretical size limits.

Also imagine when there full grown three 10 inch fish and three 7 inch fish. Read my thread Sunfish Tank and you will understand.

The MA state record for blugill is 10.7" with a typical size of 6-7". State record for P-seeds is 10.2" with a typical size of 5-6". These fish simply don't have the genetics to get to their theoretical rate. FL fish get a lot bigger. If things change, I will get a bigger tank
