Whilst we're on barbs, don't be tempted to get those cute lil devils that are usually about 3" at your LFS. The ones which go by the name of tinfoil barb!!! Monsters.

i love tinfoils, but like bala sharks and iridescent sharks probably won't be keeping them soon because of tank size

Unfortunately exodons would be quite restrictive, not allowing for any other choice of fish/tank mates.
You would really have to love bucktooth tetras to want to dedicate a 75 to them, although that is an ideal size for a nice group to spread aggression.
Maybe one for a fish house of tanks.
