Meet Teddy, our adorable little girl. She is a "Freshwater Lionfish" but she is actually a brackish to full salt fish. I think she is the coolest little fish. She looks at you with those puppy dog like eyes. LOL
We've only had her about two weeks now but during the first few days, if you moved anything around in the tank, she would go from one end to the other screaming with a very audible grunting. She won't do it now. I don't know if she's just more comfortable here of if it's the addition of some salt. (we're slowly adding the salt for her). We hope she'll continue to do well and be our favorite show off fish for a long time to come.:D

Nice to meet you Teddy, she is just awesome.. cuddly looking girl... love the color too... what a fish!!!:D

that is a killer sharp looking fish thanks for showing it off

thats awesome

Oh she is stunning. POTM for sure (submit her).
Not to be out of line but may I suggest that you slowly change her tank to accentuate her fine physique. Some tan and light brown hued gravel and maybe some driftwood resembling old mangrove roots?
Just my humble opinion. i am in awe, I am very interested in that species.

Too late. She won Jan. POTM.

The gravel is tan in color. I do want to change it to a little darker color though. I'll play a little more when I move her to a bigger tank.

She laid about 30 eggs,, all infertile of course. I had to go out and get another fish, hopping that it will turn out to be a male & with any luck, they'll have a go at it. :naughty:

That is an awesome fish. Congrats on POTM!!! You killed me though! :duh:

I was pic #2 with the mudskipper thinking I had it in the bag... If anyone was going to to beat me, I'm glad it was a brackish comrad! :woot: Keep us updated on her.

Thank you. I liked yours too. I also liked the snapping turtle but it didn't get much of any votes. I had actually forgotten about the contest. I never went to vote or see the other pics. I only remembered when I saw the PM saying Congratulations. LOL

she is gorgeous!!!!
i was looking at one not so long ago until i did research and learnt that it would kill everything in my tank lol
